Dealing With Anxiety: How To Stop Feeling Anxious And Go Forward With Your Life.
Posted by in Uncategorized on February 4th, 2010
The contemplation of dealing with anxiety for those who suffer panic attacks is extremely difficult. Knowing what to do in those circumstances if you feel like the entire world is caving in is really hard. Those of you that have never suffered anxiety, it is rather simple to look at the individual and wonder the reason why they cannot just pull themselves together.
But nevertheless, any one who’s ever undergone panic attacks or anxiety attacks can tell you that getting through the illness is not easy at all. However there are a few things which can be done that will lessen your stress and anxiety and discover ways to live with it every day. Listed here are several steps to keep in mind when you’re trying to learn how to conquer your anxiousness:
·Eliminating caffeine and sugar: This is probably amongst the most difficult things for many individuals to do. Even so, you must keep in mind that anxiety develops from a nervousness inside of your body. Caffeine and sugar are sparks to the nervous system. Caffeine is a stimulant, so if you are already an anxious person then contributing more caffeine to the body is merely gonna help to make issues worse. As far as sugar, it will cause spikes as well as dips in your blood sugar levels. If your blood sugar starts to lower, the body produces adrenaline to fight that. Thus, your heart commences to race and you begin to feel the feelings of stress and anxiety. The only way to conquer caffeine and sugar would be to never include these in your eating habits whatsoever. Instead of basic sugars, select fruits and complex carbohydrates. You don’t need caffeine to give your self an energy source.
·Exercise: even though we all can’t stand to hear it, exercise is definitely one of the main parts to combating anxiety. Normally, the anxiousness that we experience is built-up adrenaline which hasn’t had time to be burned off within the body. If you ever spend your entire time resting and staying inactive, your system never has a opportunity to burn off additional adrenaline that comes when you are ingesting bad foodstuff, drinking caffeine and merely being under the basic stress of daily life. By as a minimum adding walking or some type of workout every day, your body will have an opportunity to burn off most of this adrenaline.
.Alcohol: The same can be said for alcohol. Alcohol is certainly both a stimulant plus a depressant. The last product you’ll need if you are anxious is to be even more stimulated and if you are suffering from depression together with your anxiety, then you don’t need the extra depressant that alcohol will put into your system.
Dealing with anxiety can be done, but defeating it is significantly better!

Posted by in Uncategorized on January 14th, 2010
There are many concerns with an ovarian cyst and pregnancy but the first thought of most women is how will this effect my child and then how the heck do I get rid of this painful and unnatural thing!
In situations where an ovarian cyst exists it is possible to have it removed via surgery. But before going down this path you should look at some of the more natural methods available to you..
The cyst will only be allowed to continue growing if a mother does not get her hormones in balance so this should be taken care of as soon as possible
There are a number of different elements that affect hormonal balance. There is one factor in particular which you can start addressing straight away.
Improve Your Diet By Removing Processed Foods!
These processed foods cause your body to be deprived of essential nutrients and cause uneven blood sugar levels. They increase your blood sugar level to such an extent that your body overproduces insulin to cope.
If you cause your body to create an excess of insulin, you are invariably going to have a situation where levels of estrogen and progesterone are being negatively affected. It is this imbalance that can often lead to a cyst that grows beyond a safe size!
It is possible for you to reduce the effects of ovarian cysts and pregnancy by carefully managing your diet. Avoid highly processed foods and keep your hormones well balanced!

Posted by in Uncategorized on January 8th, 2010
Finding ovarian cysts during pregnancy is something that can be a concern for expecting mothers. The discomfort and nausea it causes is enough of a problem, but it is nothing compared to the fear for the unborn child.
There is an outside possibility of a premature birth or even a miscarriage in a situation where a cyst ruptures or becomes too large
So it is important that a mother does what she can to limit the growth of the cyst and prevent it from getting to a stage where problems exist.
Hormonal Imbalance
A common cause of ovarian cysts is an imbalance in certain female hormones, which are a factor in the growth of the cyst that can occur. There are a number of factors that lead to this imbalance but the two most common causes are: stress and nutrition.
Poor nutrition from eating processed foods or high GI foods will cause a spike in your blood sugar level which in turn spikes you insulin levels. This hormone is produced by your body to lower your blood sugar levels, but as a result it wreaks havoc on the hormonal balance
There is also a hormone known as cortisol which is produced when the body is stressed, and it too has an adverse effect on the body’s hormonal balance.
What to do about an Ovarian Cyst During Pregnancy
It is important that you focus on getting your hormones well balanced! Taking care of the 2 elements listed here is crucial. Replace package foods with healthier alternatives by eating more fruit, vegetables and lean, unprocessed meat
You also need to manage your stress. Find the best method of relief possible whether it be meditation, yoga exercise etc. Whatever works for you is good for your baby.

To lose fat and get ripped in no time. Most bodybuilders primary thing is to keep too the basic rules of diet.
1. Eat at least 6 times a day
Bodybuilders should start with regular and small meals. The best option would be eating six meals a day with 2 hours’ intervals. This helps your blood sugar levels remain stable. With this, your cravings will reduce, maximizing your energy and metabolism, as a result feeding your muscle constantly. The amount of carbohydrates, fats and protein to ingest must be in the ratio of 4:2:4, making it a dynamic way of reducing weight and building a remarkable muscular body. Though prevent consuming carbohydrates 3-4 hours before going to sleep.
• Sufficient quality protein. The correct amount of protein will be based on your protein needs. Try to multiply your total bodyweight by 1.2, the result would be the total protein grams to consume per day and divide that number by 6. And that equals to the amount of protein grams per meal. Protein sources such as lean meats like chicken, turkey, white fish such as tilapia, and whey protein powder mixed with the cream of rice are good sources of the particular mineral.
• Ensure to add reasonable amount of extra calories. The correct amount of carbohydrates calculated will be based on your daily physical carbohydrate needs. Posted by in Uncategorized on December 4th, 2009
Glycemic Index indicates the effect of different foods on the blood glucose levels. Foods which increase the blood glucose to a very high level and at a fast rate have a high GI and are known to be comparatively less healthy. Upon consumption of these foods the surge of glucose levels is very shortly followed by a fast decrease to very low levels of glucose. This means that the energy levels do not last for long causing fatigue during everyday activities as well as during exercise.
Low glucose levels also increase hunger, cause frequent snacking and sugar craving, making weight loss more difficult. High increases in glucose cause the release of high levels of insulin, a hormone which forces the excess glucose to be converted to fat for storage and therefore causing weight gain. Low GI foods on the other hand raise blood glucose levels at a slower rate and therefore help to maintain energy levels for a longer period of time. This means that you feel fuller for longer and shouldn’t have the need to snack, helping you manage your weight.
Consistent exercise routines can also help with blood sugar regulation, as exercise maintains the proper functioning of the pancreas and its sensitivity to insulin. It is advisable therefore to exercise regularly to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
Processed foods and foods which contain sugars have a high GI as they are easily digested, examples of these; white bread, white pasta, biscuits, pastries and sugary drinks such as fruit juices from concentrate and coca cola.
Proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates have a low GI as they are digested and converted into glucose very slowly. Complex carbohydrates are those which contain fibre and include wholegrain foods, fruits and vegetables.
Adding a low GI food to a high GI food helps to design a meal that has an overall low GI. So foods with a high GI rating should be eaten with protein or healthy fats. For example a baked potato (high GI) can be eaten with cheese or tuna (low GI), bread (high GI) can be eaten with butter (low GI).

Posted by in Uncategorized on November 22nd, 2009
Here are 5 tips to fight anxiety. The first one is really simple in that you just have to make a few adjustments to your diet. Why? Some foods are stimulants and other foods will cause crashes in blood sugar levels and that is bad. Cut down on tobacco, alcohol and coffee. Sometimes people feel that a cigarette will calm their nerves but in reality, they are just feeding their addiction. A cigarette, just like an espresso coffee is a stimulant. Wholegrains, fruit and vegetables plus lean meats will help your body to fight anxiety.
The second tip is to get back into control when you are fighting anxiety or when something is really worrying and stressing you out. There are several ways you can do that. First, I always concentrate on my breathing and it is not just a matter of taking a deep breath! Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. As I do that, I concentrate on the actual breathing mechanism and I become acutely aware of it. If I find that my worries and anxiety are still racing through my mind as I do that, I add counting to help me, a simple 1-2, nothing complicated. I keep repeating that. The whole exercise takes just a few minutes and at the end of it, I always feel much calmer. Now you know why meditation and yoga are also effective because they are activities which restore mind body balance.
The third tip to fight anxiety is not to rely too heavily on prescription drugs for anxiety as they do not cure anxiety. They certainly can help but their side effects can be devastating and they can cause all sorts of problems ranging from more depression, suicidal thoughts, loss of libido and weight problems. You might think this is a joke but it is not! Many anxiety sufferers are using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. They are not aware that certain natural remedies for anxiety, such as the St. John’s Wort and Passion flower herbs are equally effective and have very few side effects.
The fourth tip to fight anxiety which I use when overwhelmed with anxious thoughts is to try and visualize an image in my mind which I will really concentrate on. The best one I use is the ‘Stop’ sign. I visualize it in all its detail, the colors of the sign and the words and exactly how it looks. Even doing this for just twenty seconds helps in fighting anxiety. It is also reinforcing a subliminal command to stop the anxiety and the worry.
The fifth tip to fight anxiety is the one I call ‘my worry hour’. I devote just one hour to all my worries and anxiety and they have complete freedom to dominate my thoughts and emotions. I try not to let negative thoughts dominate the rest of the day. Usually, people who try this are bored after a few minutes and never finish the hour!
Whether your level of anxiety is a mild one like dysthymia (chronic state of mild depression) or one of social anxiety, help can be found in the natural remedies for anxiety which are herbal remedies and which have had great success. Did you know that in Germany, St.John’s Wort is prescribed for about 50% of the population who are suffering from anxiety and that Prozac, Paxil, Lexapro and other anxiety meds are prescribed for about 2% ? Why not try the above tips in fighting anxiety and take some natural alternatives such as herbs to enhance your mood and well-being.

The Glycemic Index Weight Loss Tool: One Of The Top Ways To Discard Unwelcome Pounds Swiftly.
Posted by in Uncategorized on November 19th, 2009
The GI (Glycemic Index) is a measurement of the influence of a certain food on your blood glucose levels, customarily annotated on a table. Foods ranked on the peak side of the graph be apt to spike the blood sugar quantity new markedly than foods with a minimal number. Gl weight loss has emerged as a more crucial metric compared to the long-established analysis of complex v simple carbohydrates.
On the chart, pure glucose has the top position coming in at one hundred. Food rankings on the GI are a function of glucose’s one hundred control. For illustration, a food with a sixty score has a blood sugar outcome 60percent that of unadulterated glucose. Experts progressively more concur that right use of the chart allows for superior oomph, weight loss, health and total health.
Foods extreme on the graph have a tendency to produce elevated volatility within blood sugar levels. Since they trigger blood sugar levels to increase quickly, there is a matching quick reduction. In the usual language this is known as a “sugar crash”. This is easily averted by using the GI chart as a manual when planning your victuals.
The terrible sugar crash not only zaps your liveliness levels, but it also stimulates hunger pangs soon after a full serving of food is consumed. Unnecessary to say, this can prove extraordinarily harmful to any weight loss regime. centering on foods little on the index table facilitates faithfulness to your diet.
Just like medicines, foods can include synergies when united in given variations. Putting together proteins with lofty GI table foods can act to water down the impact that the high-level index food would retain on its own. Upon first glance, the table seems to contain no rhyme or reason. Still, understanding it once studied is exceedingly simple.
Foods which count above 70 are considered high-level on the graph. Dieters are encouraged to stay away from these foods, or alternatively seek to combine lofty protein foods with them within a specific meal. Foods which position under 55 are deemed low on the GI table and are to be favored by those seeking weight loss. Foods scoring in between those ranges are acceptable in moderation.
Examples of foods scoring small on the table are apples, apricots, barley, whole grain breads, milk, pasta, peas, and sweet potatoes. Foods which are mid range on the Glycemic Index chart include bananas, ice cream, raisins, pizza and orange juice. Foods high ranking on the table include waffles, rice, french fries, pretzels and nachos.
If you yearn for higher energy levels and effective weight loss, then you should post a copy of the glycemic index chart on your icebox door. GI weight loss proves to be an exceptional route when used in addition to normal sense components like exercise and well rounded overall nutrition.

Posted by in Uncategorized on November 19th, 2009
Seroquel, which contains qetiapine, is an atypical antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia, catatonia, paranoia and bipolar disorder, by working on chemicals in the brain that are responsible for our thinking and behavior. For treatment of bipolar disorder, the initial dose is 50mg twice a day while for schizophrenia it is half of that. It has to be taken as the doctor directs, usually twice or thrice daily, with water or food. Try to take the dose at regular intervals, so that there is no missed dose. The missed dose can be made up, but if the time for the second dose is approaching, then forget the missed dose.
seroquel can cause hypotension while increasing the sedating effects of other drugs that sedate. Patients have to give their medical history to the psychiatrist, including all illnesses they have suffered from, all the drugs they are allergic to and all the medications taken by them which include drugs prescribed by other doctors, including vitamins minerals herbal products. Most common side effects include stomach upset or constipation, weight gain, headache, agitation, dryness in mouth, weakness, drowsiness and drop in blood pressure on standing suddenly making one dizzy. Since it causes tiredness, anyone who operates machinery or drives, should be extremely alert, or try to avoid performing such a task till they know how the drug is affecting them and learn to handle it.
Lesser occurring side effects include hypothyroidism or seizures while those who have been taking it for long could suffer from irreversible tardive dyskinesia muscle rigidity, irregular pulse or blood pressure, rapid heart beat, heart arrhythmias, high fever or excessive sweating. Patients being treated with quetiapine are known to register an increase in their cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Quetiapine also increases the risk of hyperglycemia, so patients with a family history of diabetes have to get their blood sugar levels monitored regularly to detect onset of diabetes while a visit to the ophthalmologist once in six months is necessary to detect cataract formation – in both these cases, if results are positive, then treatment with Seroquel will have to be discontinued.
One way to avoid dizziness or lightheadness is for patients to slowly rise from bed or from a sitting position. Strenuous exercise, exposure to extreme heat and consumption of alcoholic beverages has to be avoided while taking quetiapine. Care has to be taken when Seroquel is given to elderly people as they are at an increased risk to death when treated with antipsychotic. It is recommended that pregnant women should not be treated with Seroquel, while nursing mothers who are consuming quetiapine should not breastfeed their babies. Children who are 10 or above can also be treated with Seroquel, but with a differing dosage from adults. Never share your medicine with others, even if they have the same symptoms – it could harm them.
Seroquel has to be stored at room temperature, away from heat, light and moisture. It cannot be stored in the bathroom. This drug has to be kept out of reach of children and pets. Follow your doctor’s instructions – do not take larger doses or take it longer than prescribed. The tablet must not be broken, crushed or chewed, but swallowed whole with a full glass of water. While on Seroquel, no new medication should be taken without the psychiatrist’s knowledge. The psychiatrist may gradually increase the dose over several days or weeks to reach the desired result.
Buy Quetiapine Online – Keep safe from children and pets. Follow your doctor’s instructions for the best results. Seroquel 100mg is available at a cheap rate for the treatment of schizophrenia, catatonia, paranoia and bipolar disorder against a medical
prescription.

A Look Into Garcinia Cambogia Extract
Posted by in Uncategorized on October 15th, 2009
Garcinia cambogia extract is hitting headlines throughout the western world as a natural weight loss supplement. Several studies have shown that it does help people to lose weight and although as always there are other studies that are less conclusive, it can be an effective weight loss supplement for many people.
Garcinia cambogia is the name of a small tropical fruit that grows in India and Africa. It is one of the citrus family like oranges and lemons. It is too sour to eat but the rind is used as a spice in Indian cooking. The correct name for the substance that is extracted from the fruit as a weight loss supplement is hydroxycitric acid.
Hydroxycitric acid is not a stimulant (like caffeine) or an appetite suppressant, both of which work directly on the nerve centers of the brain and can have undesired side effects, including causing food binges any time you stop taking them. Instead, HCA satisfies the body’s need for energy and improves the signaling system that the body uses to tell the brain when it has eaten enough. This response is often delayed in overweight people, causing them to continue to eat more than they need.
Garcinia cambogia extract (HCA) seems to work best in combination with chromium, which helps to regulate the body’s blood sugar levels. Chromium is a mineral that is often lacking in our diets as we get older and a chromium deficit can contribute to weight gain and possibly diabetes. However if you have diabetes already, you should see your doctor before taking any products containing chromium.
As with most supplements, it is best to be cautious and do not take HCA if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Consult a doctor before giving it to children. You may also want to avoid HCA if you suffer from migraine or arthritis which can be worsened by citrus fruits.
HCA seems to work best for people who overeat when they are anxious or stressed, as it will give the same calming effect that they get from food. Generally you do not need to eat any special foods when you are taking HCA, and there are no ‘forbidden foods’. Choose healthy foods and you should find that you lose weight and fat slowly but steadily without really trying. You can take slightly smaller portions if you wish and choose fruit instead of sugary snacks but you should not need to go hungry. This is a very natural way to lose weight.
Unlike many other weight loss products, HCA has been extensively tested in research laboratories on both human and animal subjects and no side effects have been found. This natural weight loss supplement is available from many sources online and may be labeled either hydroxycitric acid or garcinia cambogia extract.
